This is what our winter range and mountains look like right now. It should be completely white, especially the mountains. We are already thinking about the fires that are bound to come this summer.
I very seldom alter my photographs, but this is an interesting juxtaposition of images. Marvin Crutcher is one of the beautiful Fort McDermitt Elders I documented, and I think the rice grass and spot of red color add some interest to his portrait.
