While the guys were gathering some mares and colts I had the chance to make some pictures. Back lighting helped show all their young whiskers and goatees.

We always shear around the 1st of April, and we use family, friends and workers to get the job done. This is Julia Dufurrena helping move the ewes up the chute to the shearing truck.

Shortly everyone around here will be calving. I caught this little guy peeking around a big batch of sagebrush last spring.

The skies over our northwest Nevada ranch continue to amaze me, and I can't seem to stop making photographs each time an evening like this occurs.
