This is one of those years the wildflowers are perfect. Now that I have weaned all my leppie lambs and can get out when the light is perfect, I am in heaven photographing all these beautiful natural gardens.

Sweet Alfalfa

During the two months in the spring that I take care of the leppy lambs, these are the only photographs I have time for because I'm feeding them when the best light of the day takes place. This little lamb makes it all worthwhile.

One week sheared

Ewes that have one week's growth of new wool. It's easy to tell the shearers did a good job of shearing one swipe at a time.

Linda Dufurrena photographs all aspects of life in her desert corner of Nevada. She finds her subject matter in the landscape, and in the everchanging patterns of the desert atmosphere. She photographs the creatures who inhabit the wild spaces, and the men and women who live and work there. Her vision of the world is translated into photographic image in her workshop at the Dufurrena ranch northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada.
