Dancing heel-to-toe
across the pen, he gets down
to face the music –

stop, pirouette and glide,
he has the moves
to change a bovine’s thinking.

Lucky-enough to be aboard,
to partner-up,
stay out of his way.

Your horse in the gloaming,
we savor the moments
with a glass of wine.
