LET THEM PLAY
Beyond the stockade –
the global stage reset
for one more war as oil
leaks from the ocean floor.
Too big to fight, too big
to change, ‘let them play,
old violence is not too old
to beget new values’.

steaming Iceland,
spinning hurricanes,
demanding equal time –

to the old ways,
