This schedule includes the performances for which tickets can be purchased for the 27th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, January 24-29, 2011. 

PLEASE NOTE: The Elko Convention Center Auditorium has tiered pricing for some performances, with the first 11 row seating priced at $35.00 each. There's not a bad seat in the house at this intimate venue!

Ramblin' Jack Elliott brings a sampling of the traditional blues music from his Grammy-award winning album, A Stranger Here - all pre-World War II tunes from some of the amazing American musical artists that Jack knew and loved. He will be joined by a few of the revered musicians featured on his award-winning album, including pianist Van Dyke Parks.

Celebrate the Dakota Cowboy Poetry Gathering's 25th year with Yvonne Hollenbeck, Jess Howard, Linda Hasselstrom, Rodney Nelson and DW Groethe. Hosted by Bill Lowman, founder and organizer of the Dakota Gathering.

Rooster Morris revives the art of storytelling in his one-hour program that includes fiddle music, songs, poetry and a reading from his popular Axle Galench series. Children and adults alike will delight in Rooster's entertaining voice characeterizations and storytelling abilities. The intriguing and compelling story of Axle's adventures becomes a personal experience as the audience enters into the saga of a little boy's journey into the land of Bedlam.

To give everyone a chance to see Baxter Black, tickets are distributed by lottery. If you purchase a Deluxe Pass between September 7 and November 30, 2010, you will automatically be entered into the lottery. The number of seats awarded per order corresponds to the number of Deluxe Passes purchased with a maximum of four seats per order. Winners will be notified by mail in early January, 2011.
