Yellowstone & Teton Song Contest - The Next Step

ImageYellowstone and the Tetons are powerful symbols of the mythic West, yet every person has made these places his or her own. For our songwriting contest, the Western Folklife Center received over 100 new songs written by folks who love some aspect of this great area of the American West -- fishing, bears, historic characters, sunset on the Tetons, snowmobiles. The songs were funny, heartfelt, philosophical, angry or  even instrumentals. Compositions were in several musical genres: folk, classical, bluegrass, gospel, country, rock, jazz, and hip-hop.

The first part of our contest is over. If you submitted a song or songs, we will be in touch within the next month to notify you if your song made the finals. Also, if you submitted online and did not get an acknowledgment of your submission going thorugh please contact us by e-mail so we can verify our submission!
