Fiddlers’ Pilgrimage: The Weiser Legacy

fiddlers pilgrimage-header.jpg

Fiddlers' Pilgrimage: The Weiser Legacy explores the reasons that oldtime fiddling is thriving in our time, and why Weiser, Idaho, is the western mecca for this traditional art form. Western Folklife Center producers attended the 60th National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest and Festival in 2012 and joined players and their devoted fans for this defining cultural event which each June transforms this tiny community of farmers and ranchers.

Fiddlers' Pilgrimage: The Weiser Legacy included a May 10, 2013 concert at Boise State University Events Center featuring many of the Weiser artists, and a radio special that aired May 18, 2013 on KBSU-FM 90.3 and May 18, 2013 on KBSX-FM 91.5. Meet the artists and enjoy audio of their performances and more tunes from yesteryear.
