The African Children's Choir
C. Victor & N. Patience, chaperone and member of the African Children's Choir  01/04/09 NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday
Length: 5:24 ~ Listen
It’s been said that music is a universal language, and our latest installment of What’s in a Song is proof that it’s true. Featured is the African Children’s Choir in a song about growing up in an African village. Choir members are orphans from some of the poorest countries in the world. We also hear from choir member Patience and chaperone Chimera Victor. The choir is currently on a year-long tour in the United States; the proceeds of their concerts will pay for their education when they return to Africa.
