John Palmes is an Alaska commercial fisherman who is dedicated to spreading the joys of music. We met him at the 2006 Fisher Poets Gathering in Astoria, Oregon where he told us about the influence Johann Pachelbel's Canon has had on the world of popular and folk music since its composition in or around 1680.
