Navajo singer Alger Greyeyes sings of the beauty of food and the meaning of a bounty from the earth. This piece aired on Thanksgiving weekend 2004. The song is part of the CD Songs and Stories from Grand Canyon, a collection produced by the Western Folklife Center for Smithsonian Folkways Records. Songs and Stories from Grand Canyon, which includes Alger Greyeyes singing “Grand Canyon Gold” with the Todi Neesh Zhee Singers was recorded live at the Orpheum Theatre, Flagstaff, Arizona, May 14, 2005.
