We launched What’s in a Song with “American Anthem,” a new patriotic song that has earned its stripes as a companion to “The Star Spangled Banner” at the past two presidential inaugurations. Written by Gene Scheer, this song has been sung by many, but the lovely version included here is by the great mezzo-soprano Denyse Graves.
