The Life and Legacy of Ranching in Baja California Sur
Experience the rich heritage of ranching in Baja California Sur, Mexico, through this exhibition of historic and contemporary photographs and paintings, handcrafted gear and household items, and films. Throughout the Gathering week, the Western Folklife Center's Wiegand Gallery will also be a gathering place to view demonstrations of traditional craft work and visit with special guests from Baja California Sur. Opening Reception for members, stakeholders and sponsors only will be Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 3:30pm, and the exhibition formally opens to the general public at 4:30pm.

The Western Folklife Center will host the Nevada Arts Council's traveling exhibition, One is Silver, the Other is Gold: Celebrating 25 Years of Nevada Folklife Apprenticeships. This exhibition offers rich opportunities for complimentary programs with its focus on the breadth of traditional artists, performers and craftspeople who make Nevada home.
