Western Folklife Center Adds Old-Time Country Dances
to its Summer Programs

Elko—In addition to Cajun/Zydeco Dance Night on the first Saturday of the month, and Play Your Hand Game Night every first and third Wednesday, the Western Folklife Center will host a series of Old-Time Country Dances starting Saturday, July 30 and continuing on the following Wednesdays: August 10, August 24, September 13 and September 28.

Charlie Crane will host the dances and teach those who would like to learn some new dance steps. Charlie has been country dancing for 17 years and teaching country dancing for four years. He teaches two step, ten step, country swing, Cha Cha, Drifter, Waltz and many line dances.

The Western Folklife Center’s Country Dances will take place in the Western Folklife Center’s G Three Bar Theater. The Pioneer Saloon opens at 6:00 pm; dance lessons begin at 6:30 pm; dancing starts at 7:00 pm. Admission is $8/couple or $5/individual at the door.
