Remember the Day of the Dead

Pan de MuertoNovember 2, 2004: The Day of the Dead. This is a celebration of life. A day to remember those who have passed on. A day to talk about them and keep their memories alive. Also a day to party and celebrate with good food.

I will especially remember my mother today. She left us October 4, 1980. She was a very wise woman and all of you would have loved her. She made the best flour tortillas and always made ponche for me when I was sick. If she was here, she would be cooking up something special for our party on Friday.

Hope you have fond memories, too.
