Southwest Ranch Country

Opening in the Western Folklife Center Wiegand Gallery during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering will be exhibitions that shed light on the ranching culture of the American Southwest, historically rich and ever-evolving.

The exhibitions will evoke a sense of place, people and culture of the region through artwork, the vivid photography of Kurt Markus, Jay Dusard and others, as well as handcrafted gear of some of the region's master craftsmen.

There will be an opening reception for Western Folklife Center Members on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 3:30 pm; following which the exhibitions will open to the general public at 4:30 pm.
