Generous Western Folklife Center supporters donate a wide range of irresistible western objects, including original paintings and photographs, hand-crafted jewelry, clothing, working gear, autographed books and CDs, and unforgettable travel experiences. You're sure to find something you'll enjoy or a gift for a loved one. And you can feel extra good about your purchase because you are supporting an organization and an event that you care about. Stop by the Silent Auction Desk at the Elko Convention Center to sign up for a bid number. Bidding typically opens on the Monday beginning the Gathering, and it closes at 5:00 pm Saturday, the last day of the Gathering. The list of successful bidders will be posted at 6:30 on Saturday next to the Silent Auction Desk. Please consider donating something special to the auction and help the Western Folklife Center continue to fulfill its mission to present and preserve the cultural traditions of the American West. One of the most popular events during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering is the silent auction held each year in the lobby of the Elko Convention Center. Money raised from the auction goes to support the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering and other Western Folklife Center programs throughout the year.
