The workshop is designed to go along with the Western Folklife Center's current exhibition, Words + Images: Broadsides of the Black Rock Press, which features beautiful examples of professional printmaking (featured image). The workshop will cover designing, making simple plates, and multiple printing of images. The workshop will also include a tour of the Wiegand Gallery and discussions about how the Black Rock Press prints have been created. Workshop participants will leave with basic skills and a resource list to continue at home, or in their classrooms.
