hands/ON! at the Nevada Museum of Art
The Western Folklife Center collaborated with the Nevada Museum of Art on Saturday, January 14, 2012 for a hands ON!/Cowboy Up program. From 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, little buckaroos could watch cowboy trick roping and sing western songs with Tumbleweed Tex Weir, create western landscapes and design their own cattle brands in hands-on workshops, watch special Deep West Videos with ranchers and filmmakers Linda Dufurrena and Carolyn Dufurrena, and listen to western poetry and stories. The Nevada Museum of Art is located at 160 West Liberty Street, Reno, Nevada. Call (775) 329-3333 for more information.
