Texas cowboy musicians the Gillette Brothers performed in concert in Elko on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the Western Folklife Center G Three Bar Theater. The Pioneer Bar and G Three Bar Theater doors opened at 6:00 pm.Ticket prices for the show were $10.00; $8.00 for Western Folklife Center members, seniors and students. Tickets were available in the Western Folklife Center Gift Shop or at the door.

The Gillette Brothers, Guy and Pipp, have released six albums of traditional cowboy music interspersed with a few originals. They were recipients of the 1998 and 2003 Will Rogers Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Advancement of Contemporary Cowboy Music, and the Western Heritage Wrangler Award for the Best Traditional Western Album of 2010 from The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for their CD, Cowboys, Minstrels and Medicine Shows. They are regular favorites at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
