The Western Folklife Center was fortunate to have world-renown sculptor, singer and former cowboy Harry Jackson join us in Elko during the 1993 Cowboy Poetry Gathering, singing a few of the old songs he learned from cowboys in his early years in Wyoming. His singing is also featured in our 2002 television documentary, Why the Cowboy Sings, which plays on demand in the Western Folklife Center Wiegand Gallery's Black Box Theater. Read more about Harry in the "Never Forgotten" column of cowboypoetry.com.
