"Second Saturdays" - 2014 (except June)
Visit the Western Folklife Center Gift Shop during the summer Second Saturdays in downtown Elko! All "Walks" begin at 4:00 pm and run until 7:00 pm (starting location to be announced). June 7 is the 3rd annual Margarita Walk; July 12, August 9, September 13 are Wine Walks and October 11 is scheduled to be a Beer Walk. Brought to you by the Elko Downtown Business Association.

A Brushwork Roundup: Western Paintings and Drawings by Craig Sheppard. Curated by Jim McCormick and Fred Reid and organized by the Nevada Arts Council. This exhibition is part of the Nevada Touring Initiative-Traveling Exhibition program, funded in part by the Nevada Endowment for the Arts and the Nevada State Legislature. The Nevada Arts Council is a division of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.

The Caleb Klauder Country Band is coming to the Western Folklife Center. Join us for an evening of dancing as the band melds honky-tonk and early country into music harkening back to the old dance hall days. The band will also be teaching an old-time music workshop (for vocals and instruments) on Sunday, October 19th - watch this space for more information.

Western Folklife Center presents Fiddlers' Pilgrimage: The Weiser Legacy, a tribute to the National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest and Festival. Tribute a one-hour radio documentary airing on Boise Public Radio (KBSU-FM) May 18 at 7:00pm and on KBSX-FM on May 19 at 8:00pm, as well as a concert event at Boise State University Special Events Center, 1800 West University Drive, on May 10.
